Notes
1. The dimensions noted above are a nominal or indicative size only. Australian bricks are manufactured to an Australian Standard DW2 and bricks of 1st quality rating are deemed to comply with this standard and are tested accordingly.
2. Sandstocks, Clinkers, Rockface and other bricks with deliberate deformities to shape are not deemed to have to comply with the size characteristics of Australian Standard DW2 therefore, size is not tested and will vary.
3. BRIKproducts (Aust) Pty.Ltd. can only cut the bricks as supplied by the brick manufacturer. Although a standard cutting thickness ± 2mm is aimed for, many brick types do not allow for accuracy to this level. Please check the brick cutting characteristics prior to ordering if high accuracy is required.
4. Height and Length:
Australian Brick Companies make thier bricks to the Australian Standard DW2, which is as follows:

Variation on length is +/- 50mm (measured over 20 Bricks)
This does NOT mean 2.5mm per brick! It MUST be measured over 20 bricks!

Variation on height is +/- 40mm (measured over 20 Bricks)
This does NOT mean 2.0mm per brick! It MUST be measured over 20 bricks

This variation could increase slightly for Sandstocks as they are not manufactured to be a perfectly square brick and are classified as a DW1.  Their shape and sizing is a desirable characteristic of the product.
Variations in one batch or manufacturing run of bricks are, usually, far less than shown above.
The above figures represent the Australian Standard, which Australian Manufacturers must comply with.

PACKAGING FOR EXPORT

1. All BRIK FACINGS are bulk-packaged onto special size export pallets that allow us to load 18 pallets per 20 foot container (3 wide x 6 deep) to the maximum weight allowable.  (In Australian Ports this is usually max. 21 tonne nett weight of cargo)

2. CORNER PIECES are bulk-packaged into a similar sized 'crate' with open wooden sides to restrain movement.

3. METAL RAILING SYSTEMS, (if used), are packed into bundles and then into special wooden crates. These crates are then loaded on top of the facings in the container.

4. THERE IS NO STANDARD QUANTITY ON EACH PALLET.
When we quote for you we will nominate the number of export pallets and/or export corner packs to suit the project and load configuration.
The quantity on a pallet can vary due to:

Thickness of  facings

   Maximum weight allowable at Port

Weight of total consignment

   Customer preference or Instruction.
